Cancer Support Resources & Support Groups

Support groups provide patients and families with information, guidance, and an unparalleled understanding of living through cancer. Cancer support groups are available for various types of cancer and are open to patients as well as family members. The groups are led by a healthcare provider with expertise in the particular type of cancer. Find out about local support groups in your area.
Many national cancer organizations offer support groups for patients and/or for loved ones. The American Cancer Society offers the following programs in many communities:

Seattle Area Cancer Support Groups

As a community cancer center, PSCC collaborates with other cancer care organizations in the area, two of which are Gilda's Club and Cancer Lifeline. Below are links to support groups and other support services vital to helping patients and their families cope during treatment as well as survivorship.

Gilda's Club and the Wellness Community joined together to form the Cancer Support Community.
